A new series Samsung Galaxy Buds3 it comes with “shoulders” that you can use to play and slide and adjust the volume up and down.
The new gems come in redesigned cases and feature a host of AI-based features.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro features two-way speakers with 6.1 mm pitch tweeters and 10.5 mm drivers, as well as dual amplifiers. The SSC codec has been updated to support twice the sample rate for enhanced audio quality.
For the sound of the active tablet and its microphone constantly monitors the environment with features such as Active Noise Control, Siren Detect and Voice Detect. These two will automatically adjust to the ambient sound so you can hear what’s going on around you.
Additionally, the machine learning model will help with noise coming from the other end of a call — it’s trained to recreate a natural-sounding voice, even if the sound is coming from a noisy environment. With Super-Wideband mode, the Buds can transmit voice at 16 kHz.
The Galaxy Buds3 Pro style is finished with exclusive Bird Lights. This is a light strip running along the edge. You can use the Wearable app to customize the lighting style.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 are the most affordable option. They have 1-way dynamic drivers (11 mm), while they still offer Adaptive ANC and Adaptive EQ to adapt the sound to environmental factors. They also have an open design, which is more convenient for extended use (but the channel-type design of the Pro-Sound provides a more passive isolation).
The redesigned cases have a transparent cover and the same battery capacity, 515mAh. However, the Buds Pro have a slightly larger 53mAh battery in each earbud and can last up to 6 hours with ANC on and a total of 26 hours with the case (or up to 7 hours/30 hours with ANC off). The Buds3 have 48mAh batteries in each bud and promise 5 hours of continuous listening and up to 24 hours total with ANC on (or 6 hours/30 hours with ANC off).
Both Basic and Pro support Galaxy AI features such as Interpreter mode – using Listen mode, you can listen to a lecture in a foreign language with your Galaxy phone and Gems providing translation into your native language.
Nokia used a computational design for both the gems for a better and more comfortable fit. This time, both Buds3 models have the same dust and water resistance – IP57 (from IPX2 in Buds2 and IPX7 in Buds2 Pro). The Buds3 series is part of Samsung’s sustainability initiative and features plastic from discarded fishing nets and water barrels.
The Buds3 series went up for pre-order today and will be available from July 24th. There are two colors available, Silver and White.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro costs $250, while the vanilla Galaxy Buds3 is $180. Comparatively, these prices are $30 higher than the Buds2ii models.
